Daisuke either needs his toes blushed or a nice pair of tabi socks (working on the second and thinking about the first).

I’m currently working on a rather large batch of MSD geta this month. I may take preorders for “stock” hanao this time around… But not until I have a good amount of the bases ready. I’ll have more details in the next week or two once I have everything thought out.

I swear that english is my first language… I just forget to grammar

My niece, Miss P has been coming by to visit pretty regularly on sundays. One of things she and I have been doing is having little drawing sessions. My skills are seriously rusty but I’m having loads of fun. This week’s theme was sea otters. I would normally say “don’t ask” but seeing random sea otter posts on my tumbr dash have been making me smile… I also think that watching Shirokuma Cafe has ruined me on all things animals. Especially on kumas, red pandas, and otters.
Oh and then there is happy poo because you know… Happy poo.

For reasons I have not been given the chance to play with the Komame charm that came in with my Volks orders earlier this week.

Night time knitting.
As tiny as it was, I was happy with my swatch. The drape was what I wanted for this particular project I just started. This will be knitted in between geta making and Nekocon prep. I’m just sick of Daisuke not having proper socks to wear with his geta. So hopefully he’ll have something before xmas. That is if I don’t give up.

You’re knitting tabi socks oh my god

I’m attempting to. Me and socks don’t have a great track record (I tend to suffer from the one sock syndrome). I’m hoping that since they are doll sized it will push me to get them done. Plus Daisuke really needs them and I’m not the most confident of a seamstress to sew a pair without having to struggle with the balk around the seams.

Because you know, the first series of Volks Apprentice sets weren’t enough… I had to go and buy the second. Because Z in a black kimono kind of makes my everything and Head looks amazing in anything plum (it brings out his eyes and looks lovely with his face up). Since Daisuke is a SDGr he kind of swims in his and because Z is a Gou he had to squeeze into his. Either way I love these sets and wish that Volks will make them in all colors and patterns. You can never have too many.

A very tiny swatch for a rather large project. It might not even be usable but it gives me an extra reason to knit. I always have a preferred amount of stitches to swatch to… I seem to forget that I need to cast on more when I knit the tiny thing -_-
I know that swatching seems like such a waste for so many knitters. While I mainly do it to make sure I’m going in the right direction when I start a new/big project (stitch count, drape, ect) it really just gives me extra time to play with the yarn and an added excuse to knit. Sadly I’m not the most confident of knitters to jump into a project with out doing a test first.
Anyway, Habu’s Fine Merino on hand made needles made from piano wire that I made several years ago. These are super flexible so they are awesome if you are knitting tiny projects for long periods of time.
