Daisuke modeling the new split color sweater (with his lovely pair of Milk and Honey pants). The base is cocoa and the accent color is between my regular lilac and plum mohair. It almost has a transparent quality to it. Ah! I wasn’t going to make Daisuke a sweater but he will need one with this purple because it is lovely and totally matches his eye color (and surprisingly kind of goes with his only pair of pants… not that he would care). I will be adding this to my SD line and will have a small selection at Otakon this year. I’ll have an announcement about that very soon that will involve pre-orders and con pick ups.
Mini IG photo dump from this week:
I took this photo of a gift sweater to show what the sweaters look like straight off the needles. Rather humbling. The end results would prove that a proper blocking does wonders. (Another gift sweater. But not a type the person getting it will be expecting. Two tone was not discussed and the pop of color might not work for a “natural’ color type of guy. So I might have to make another. This won’t go to waste though. I’m surprisingly crazy about it and will be adding this as a new sd sized style. This also got a crazy amount of likes on IG for some reason)
I wanted to be productive during my break at work. After rediscovering a batch of left over sticks we had cut for a model boat maker I wanted to make a test sample for doll sized flooring. I have plans to make a SD sized photo set or diorama sometime this year so a new doll floor needs to be made. This is the sample so far. It’s made of fir and I love the two tone effect. I want a dark floor so I have plans to use stain but I don’t have the heart to stain this sample. Oh well. When might you add that two-tone option for SD’s? I was actually going to PM you this weekend with a commission for an SD sweater for my new guy and really love that style a lot. *_*
Thank you! I’m really happy with this design so far (even from the craptacular photo). I’ll decide what to do as soon as it’s finished blocking, ends woven in and have one of my boys model it (and photographed for the new owner). It will just take another day or two. Since I’m in serious sweater making mode for Otakon, if you want one after I post a photo feel free to contact me.

Went out and took some photos today with a friend. Finally managed to get some really good ones of Cicero, who is oddly hard to photograph sometimes. Augh he’s just too flippin’ cute for me to handle.
